A year ago today I stood on this cobbled street in Paris.
I stood in awe at just being in a city with so much beauty and history. To stand in a spot where so many had possibly stood over centuries. To see things that I had only read and seen in books-it was amazing! I love that we can capture these sweet moments of our life's journey. Treasured photographs that transport us through time and space reminding us of the joys and sorrows we have experienced in this life.
I had always dreamed of traveling to France. Today I am linking with Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday and sharing a few photographs of my dream captured!
(All images textured with Warm Sun from Kim Klassen)
The Cathedral of Notre Dame is the most popular monument in Paris and in all of France. It was amazing to behold.
The flowers were so incredibly beautiful in France. There were flower shops and stands on every street.
The Eiffel Tower looked smaller than I imagined it would be.
LuLu and me in the Monet Gardens in Giverny. I think it was my favorite day spent in France.
(The girl is almost as tall as me!)
A beautiful Cathedral in the small town in Vernon. We took a train from Paris and rode bikes through town. The back roads are the best way to see France!
We walked everywhere. We had to walk off the chocolate croissants we ate for breakfast every morning. I still dream about those sweet pastries! My sweetheart was our trusty map guide.
Paris in Spring was so beautiful! I will never forget the sweet memories I have of the beautiful time we spent there.
Don't forget to stop by the Cafe to see the other links shared for texture tuesday. So many sweet memories captured!
"Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose."
WOW, so beautiful. I'm in love with Paris and France. Love the picturs and the vintage effect. Awesome!

I live in Europe but still hasn't been in Paris but I will be:) I love every shot you have taken there and they get me closer to Paris. One of my dreams getting true I,m going to Tuscany on 27th day this month. We all have seen films and read books about that place, now I'm going there for landscape photographing course. Looks like a wonderful vacation with gorgeous photos to relive the experience. I love the warm sun texture on all, but the church in Vernon is my favorite. Great job texturing all your photos with the warm sun!

WOW! What gorgeous photos! I am soooo jealous that you are learning how to enhance your photos with these fabulous textures! One of these days I hope to have the time to learn too.
I went to Paris as a senior in high school (our choir sang in the Notre Dame!), but I truly did NOT appreciate being there like I would today! I would love to go back ... great photos! Cute family!

Lorraine, your photos of your trip to France are simply stunning!!! I was a graduate student in Paris for three years in the early 90's - the flower shops were my favourite thing there (besides the flea markets :)

Oh my goodness. I love this post! It seems that so many of the blogs I'm visiting lately mention Paris! I just did a blog post where I also mentioned that it's been ten LONG years since I was there and I am hoping to go again later this year. I think this is a sign! Thank you for sharing all these amazingly gorgeous images. I'm thrilled to see them.
Cheers,
Holly

Breathtakingly beautiful. Someday I will have a nice camera and know how to use my photoshop. For now I use my canon point and shoot and I add the textures in Picasa which is a completely different look than photoshop. Thank you for complimenting me anyway. I am afraid to fly so my only visit with Paris can be through others and yours has made me feel like I am there. ox
